WhatsApp converts better than any social network — and punishes faster than all of them. It is the most personal app there is, and an unasked-for message there irritates in a way a post in a feed does not.
A deal group, made by you
Somebody who joins of their own accord wants to receive. That is the whole difference between promotion and spam. A group of 200 people who chose to join pays better than a list of 2,000 scraped contacts.
Say plainly in the description what the group is. Filter: a group that forwards everything becomes a muted group.
Status
Only people who already have your number see it, and it intrudes on nobody. It works well for one offer a day, with a real photo and one sentence of reason.
Broadcast lists: carefully
They only reach people who have your number saved, which already limits things naturally. Use them with people who have bought or asked. Blasting contacts who never agreed produces blocks, and a volume of blocks takes the number down — losing the number you use for business is a loss that is hard to undo.
What WhatsApp does not do
It speaks to people you have already reached. It does not bring new people in. For somebody new to find you, you have to be where they are looking — and that is search.
A page of your own with your recommendations, findable in search, is what feeds the group with new people instead of recycling the same contacts.
