Facebook is still one of the largest audiences on the internet, but it has changed: posting a link on the page and waiting for visits no longer works the way it used to. Organic reach for posts with links was cut, because the platform prefers to keep people inside it.
That does not mean it is worthless
It means the route is different now.
The business page is the base
Fill in the site address in every field that accepts one: “Website”, “About”, the action button at the top. It is the most stable link you will have there, and it does not depend on the mood of the algorithm.
Publish the content, not just the link
A post that delivers the information in the text itself travels further than a post that only says click here. Tell the essential part there, and leave the link for whoever wants the rest.
Groups, with a rule
Groups in your field or your town are where spontaneous reach still exists. The rule is the same as in any community: answer for real, and mention your site only when it is the answer. A link in every message is the shortest route to being removed from the group.
Boost what already worked
If you are going to spend, spend on what already worked by itself. Boosting a post that got a spontaneous response pays far better than building a new ad from nothing.
The limit of Facebook
All of this reaches whoever is on Facebook at that moment. It does not reach whoever is in a search engine right now, looking for exactly what you sell — and that person is much closer to buying. That is why social media works better alongside a presence in search, not in place of it.
